Consulting & Review    of residential property located:                                     

408 Lakeview Avenue / Wake Forest, NC 27587 / “Residence Electrical”

 

 

MAIN SERVICE:

… is underground fed and located at rear of residence with meter located in headwall of garage.  Opposing the meter location and interior of the garage is the main panelboard having a 200 ampere main breaker and the distribution breakers for the house load.

 

LIVING / DNING ROOM:

1.  Unvented gas logs appliance is installed in fireplace and appears to have been minimally used, if any.  Logs were placed into operation and tested.  Loose connection in wiring was noted.  Logs would not operate until we moved / jiggled wiring behind internal switch.  May warrant further investigation, but not a big cost or issue.  There exists 120 vac SPST switch adjacent fireplace which controls the low voltage circuit for log opertation.

 

LAUNDRY ROOM:

2.  20 amp receptacle located left for washer; and 4 wire 30 amp device for clothes dryer.

 

GARAGE:

3.  Location of panelboard.

 

KITCHEN:

4.  Cook Stove was tested for operation; and determined that a loose connection was present within the front right burner socketing.  When placed into operation, you could hear the arc of the electrical connection sizzling.  Warrants repair or replacement.  Cook Stove should not be used and is considered defective for operation.

 

5.  Disposal was tested for power and found operational.

 

6.  Dishwasher was tested for power, yet, not run through full cycle of operation.

 

7.  Two GFCI were present at kitchen counters.  Each operated as required and each served subordinate branch devices, as well.

 

HALL BATH:

8.  Primary GCFI device for both bathroom receptacles was in this bathroom.  Device was tested and affirmed for operation.

 

MASTER BEDROOM #1 (front right):
Nothing to note.

 

MASTER BATHROOM:
9.  Receptacle at vanity was secondary to primary GFCI of Hall Bath device.  Tested and operated as required.

 

BEDROOM #2 (right rear):

Nothing to note.

 

BEDROOM #3 (rear center):

Nothing to note.

 

EXTERIOR:

10.  At location of HVAC is a fused disconnect with 35 amp fuse cartridges.
